The goal of the Ann Arbor Public Schools World Languages program is to prepare all students to be linguistically and culturally competent in languages other than English. At A2 STEAM we believe the ability to communicate in a culturally appropriate manner with speakers of other languages is a key to success in the increasingly diverse global community of the 21st century.

We offer Spanish as a world language in 6th and 8th grade. Students also have access to any language offered through A2V in middle school grades. As students develop proficiency in world languages and, a parallel appreciation of the underlying values and beliefs of other cultures, they develop the understandings and skills that are essential to meaningful communication around the world.
