Mrs. Basuni has been in the education field since 2009. She has been at AAPS since 2014. She enjoyed teaching Arabic at the elementary level at Allen, Carpenter and Mitchell elementary schools.She is passionate about language learning and cultural awareness. She completed her undergraduate degrees in Social Studies and Arabic Language at the University of Michigan- Dearborn. In 2015 Mrs. Basuni earned her Masters in Arts and secondary teaching certificate from Wayne State University. Previous to joining the AAPS family she taught both Arabic and ELL KG, 2nd, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12 grade in Detroit, MI. She also taught Arabic online at Johns Hopkins University in Maryland. Mrs. Basuni is passionate about teaching Arabic language and culture. In her free time, she loves to travel with her family, cook, reading and watching movies.
